He was the heart and soul of any get-together or trips and parties - and his dance moves! Wish I could show you some of the clips especially the one went viral in our last Christmas party. I can go on and on here about Niluda - however little I knew about him but the impression he leaves with us was always huge and enormous.

We pray for his soul to rest in peace at the Heavenly Abode.

Nilu da - A man with a vision, a purpose and a destiny. That’s how I would like to remember Niluda in a nutshell.

I knew Niluda for last 25 years through Jadavpur University Alumni Association UK since it’s inception in 1992. He was the person to sail us through in good and bad days. At any crisis point Niluda was always there to take the leading role and shelter us under his soothing arms. Under his chairmanship and guidance we started and achieved all our charitable drives, be it University students’ scholarship schemes, supporting eye Hospitals in India or fundraising for students and ex-students of our University in need of life saving treatments.

Being the eldest yet he was the youngest at heart and that’s how he reached all generations of our Alumni effortlessly. His positive vibes inspired us all always.

We always looked forward to come to Niluda’s home whether it was for an executive committee meeting or not, just to relax, have a good old time and particularly relish Manjudi’s delicious food.

You will always be in our heart Nilu Da
